A Cold Shrink Straight Joint is a type of cable jointing technology used to connect two lengths of cable in a straight line, especially for medium- and high-voltage power cables like XLPE or EPR insulated cables.
Instead of heating the jointing sleeve (as in heat shrink), cold shrink technology uses pre-expanded elastomer sleevesthat shrink automatically once the supporting core is removed.
FEATURES
-High dielectric strength, low partial discharge, and reliable electrical connection
-Excellent moisture, UV, and corrosion resistance for long-term service life
-Once installed, no periodic tightening or re-sealing is required.
-Installs without special tools – simply remove the core to allow it to shrink in place.
-No risk of overheating or uneven shrink compared to heat shrink products.
-Made from high-quality silicone or EPDM rubber with excellent dielectric strength and weather resistance.
-Eliminates the need for blowtorches or heat guns, improving safety during installation.
