An Aluminiu/copper  Ferrule is a cylindrical metal sleeve used in power cable jointing kits to ensure electrical continuity, mechanical strength, and armour grounding. It plays a critical role in securely connecting or terminating cable components, especially in armoured cable joints.

Purpose & Function:

1. Armour Wire Termination:

• The aluminium/copper ferrule is often used to terminate the armour wires (like steel wire armour – SWA) of a cable during jointing.
• It provides a neat and secure method to bundle and crimp the armour wires before earthing.

1. Electrical Continuity:

• Ensures low-resistance electrical contact between the cable armour and the earthing system.
• Often used with copper earth braids or continuity straps to maintain the grounding path.
